What is New With Safe Staffing: June 2009

We asked and the nurses responded! On March 2008, ANA released an online poll for nurses to complete to give us an idea of what your thoughts were on the importance of safe staffing. To date, there have been nearly 15,000 responses. Come see what many of you said!

Safe Staffing Poll Results: October 2008

ANA asked nurses to participate in a Safe Staffing Poll on its SafeStaffingSavesLives.org website. As of October 2008, the poll received 13,515 responses from nurses.

Connecticut Secured Nurse Staffing Legislation

Connecticut has also succeeded in securing safe nurse staffing legislation for its patients and nurses through staffing plans with the Governor’s signature on May 27, 2008.

Nurse Staffing Legislation Enacted in Ohio

Ohio's governor signed the safe nurse staffing legislation into law in June 2008.
